Grace Ethiopian Evangelical Church Supports EHDO’s School Feeding Program with USD 4,500 Donation

Grace Ethiopian Evangelical Church from Nashville, Tennessee, has demonstrated its strong commitment to education and community well-being by supporting Eneho Fiker Humanitarian and Development Organization (EHDO)’s school feeding program.

Eneho Fiker Humanitarian and Development Organization (EHDO) continues to strengthen strategic partnerships with government, private, and non-government actors to expand support for vulnerable students and communities through impactful, grassroots initiatives.

Previously, representatives from Grace Ethiopian Evangelical Church (USA) visited Tesfaberhane Secondary School to observe EHDO’s ongoing school feeding program and related initiatives. During the visit, the delegation engaged with students, teachers, and kitchen staff, gaining firsthand insight into how EHDO’s programs directly address students’ basic needs and improve educational outcomes.

Following the visit, on January 21, 2026, members of the Church donated USD 4,500 to support EHDO’s school feeding program, benefiting vulnerable high school students at Tesfaberhane Secondary School. The contribution will be used to provide in-school meals, reinforcing student well-being and learning.

EHDO sincerely thanks Grace Ethiopian Evangelical Church for its generous support and meaningful partnership. This collaboration stands as a powerful example of shared commitment to society, education, dignity, and lasting community impact.

Supporting Outstanding Students Through Merit-Based Scholarship and Community Engagement

Eneho Fiker is committed to improving educational outcomes for students in targeted public high schools in Addis Ababa. Through close collaboration with school administrations, teachers, parents, and local authorities, the organization supports vulnerable yet outstanding students. Since June 2025, 30 selected students from 12 high schools have been receiving monthly financial assistance, educational materials, and psychosocial support to help them succeed academically and prepare for higher education.

As part of this initiative, Eneho Fiker organized a motivational and support event for Merit-Based Scholarship participants on 03/01/2026 at Misraqgoh Secondary School. The event celebrated Christmas with students and fostered connections with visitors from the USA and Canada. Each student received 2,000 ETB as a holiday gift, while visitors donated over 60,000 ETB and pledged continued support. The event featured interactive discussions, puzzle competitions, and sports activities, making it both inspiring and memorable for students and the Eneho Fiker family.

Site Visits by Tourists

We facilitated a group of 75 tourists from the United States transiting through Ethiopia to Zanzibar, who generously donated school materials worth over 500,000 ETB to Adwa Ber School. The program included cultural performances, traditional coffee ceremonies, and joyful celebration with the students.

A review meeting was held at Vibes Hotel with 36 participants including school principals, local leaders, and students. Eneho Fikir presented its programs and achievements over six years.
